Mis en Scene in Ideological Analysis

The scene analysis directly correlates to the the ideological analysis that is being showed throughout the film. The setting switched between Twin Pines, California in the 1980s and the 1950s. The Marty’s character stays stagnant between the two worlds, but his parents and other characters show growth or regression once the past is altered. The cinematographer used the different scenes to visually separate you from the the two time periods by using different camera angles, different lighting, and different colors.
